The Willing by Marivan S narrates the story of Maryan, a woman who has faced a difficult life from the moment of her birth. Maryan grew up in a dysfunctional family where abuse was the order of the day. She was also born into a period characterized by death and war. Throughout each phase of her life, she emerges stronger than before, turning every lemon that life throws at her into lemonade. The Willing is not just an ordinary memoir about a woman's struggles but a testament to fighting for the life she truly deserves through faith and resilience. Read this inspiring and heartwarming book to see through the eyes of a warrior who never gives up.

The Willing explores themes such as faith, love, family, drug abuse, survival, motherhood, family pressure, rebirth, education, mental health, and strength. I love how every chapter of the book offers solid hope to readers as Marivan S shares raw, in-depth knowledge of Maryan, revealing her pain, her victories, and her strong will for survival. I love how the author portrays Maryan’s mental health struggles from the perspective of her unique family dynamic, education, and challenges like having a special gifted child and losing her sister during childbirth. The author's ability to share her stories is also another area that was beautifully explored. I appreciate the attention to detail and use of imagery. This made the book a must-read. I recommend this memoir to everyone who has longed for hope and strength in their darkest moments.‎
