There's a Monster in my Mouth! by Michele Lynn Siegfried is a fun, rhyming children's book that follows a young boy. One night, while the boy was asleep, a monster silently crept into his mouth. The monster makes the boy's mouth smell bad, and the boy needs to get the monster out. His mother tells the boy that he has to brush the monster out. The boy runs all over the room, but he can't find his toothbrush. Finally he spots his toothbrush, and starts brushing his teeth, but the monster won't leave that easily. He hides from the toothbrush until finally there's no place left to hide. The monster leaves, but he's not done yet. He goes back to the boy while he eats. Will the boy ever get rid of him?

I really enjoyed reading There's a Monster in my Mouth! by Michele Lynn Siegfried. The book is very well written and the rhyming is very well done. The rhyming gives the book a rhythm that children will enjoy. The book encourages young children to brush their teeth, and teaches the importance of keeping your mouth clean. The pictures by Michele Lynn Siegfried are well drawn, bold, and colorful. The pictures clearly depict each scene. Many people will be able to relate to the young boy, because many people have had a really stinky breath, just like him. Children will enjoy reading this before they brush their teeth. I would definitely recommend this book to all young readers.
