There's a Mouse in the House is a children’s picture book written by Angela M. Smith with illustrations by Mina Basic Stankovic. The story follows a family who discovers a mouse, named Magnus, in their kitchen. Initially, they are frightened by his presence and start making plans to get rid of him. But, as they wonder about his thoughts and preferences, they become curious and begin to grow fond of him. They feed him cheese and even allow him to rest after his meal. Unfortunately, Magnus knows he cannot stay in their home and must leave. However, when the time comes for him to depart, the family decides to let him stay, and Magnus finally finds a loving home. Join Magnus the Mouse in his journey toward finding love and acceptance in this delightful story.

There's a Mouse in the House is a heartwarming story that teaches children about kindness, love, and belonging. Magnus and his new family are adorable characters that will capture readers' hearts with their cute faces, big round eyes, and playful personalities. Angela M. Smith uses rhyming words to create a rhythmic narration, making the book enjoyable and engaging to read. The book is well-crafted with an educational storytelling approach, featuring highlighted important words that children can look up in the dictionary. It also has beautiful illustrations that perfectly align with the story, and make it visually appealing. The warm colors create a welcoming atmosphere that complements the book's themes. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend sharing it with your children to teach them about kindness and embracing others.
