K.T. Rome tells a heartfelt tale about faith and family in Three For Him. Raised in a devoted Christian family, Katrina had her share of heartbreaks before she met her husband, Jeff. She would go on to have two daughters named Mira and Alicia. However, her marriage to Jeff didn't last long, as she soon discovered that he was an abusive man who didn't even spare her little girls. For four years, Katrina found herself embroiled in custody battles and court hearings with multiple lawyers, judges, DAs, court-appointed therapists, and psychologists thrown into the mix. Throughout it all, however, God showed her the way, with family, friends, and neighbors becoming her bedrock. Eventually, she met a loving man named Roger, who, once again, brought love and care back into her life.
K.T. Rome's narrative will resonate with anyone who has had to go through an abusive relationship. Three For Him is an absorbing story about faith and how it helps people overcome adversity and challenges in life. I found Katrina's journey of self-discovery very moving. She had to rely on her faith and her loved ones to protect her children while the very institutions that are set up to safeguard their interests demonstrated a systematic failure to do so. The author illustrates life's ups and downs through Katrina's character. This is why I think readers will find the book immersive and Katrina to be relatable. The narrator also draws upon the wisdom of the scriptures to show readers how those lessons helped her when external forces threatened to spiral her life out of control. Highly recommended.
