To Seduce a President by Mark Reutlinger is a gripping thriller that chronicles the life of Suzanne Dahlstrom, a young woman whose traumatic childhood and subsequent experiences propel her into a dangerous web of political intrigue, betrayal, and clandestine schemes. The story follows Suzanne from her troubled past of abuse and abandonment to her transformation into a high-class escort embroiled in a covert operation to manipulate the American presidency. Under the guise of marriage and deception, she is coerced into a plot to seduce her brother-in-law, Adam McNeil, the younger brother of the presidential candidate, with the ultimate goal of ensnaring the president himself. As the plan unfolds, Suzanne’s genuine feelings for Adam complicate her mission. The narrative moves to decisive moments where Suzanne faces the terrifying decision to assassinate or defy her handlers to protect her integrity and loved ones.

Mark Reutlinger’s plotting is stellar, blending intrigue and schemes of political manipulation and the world of high-class escorts. The characters in To Seduce a President are extensively drawn, and Suzanne, whose layered personality combines charm and cunning, will fascinate readers. She is flawed, and that makes her appealing. Adam McNeil is a sincere, honorable man torn between political machinations and personal affection. Supporting characters like Marguerite, a seasoned escort and confidant, and Lloyd Kilpatrick, a conflicted operative, are equally well-developed. The setting shifts from the opulence of Washington, D.C. to the clandestine corridors of power, as the author explores themes of power, deceit, and corruption. Reutlinger’s skillful storytelling immerses readers in a world where loyalty, love, and treachery collide. The superb writing, deft plotting, and suspense will keep any reader turning the pages.
