Train, Train, Go Away! by Terri Kelley is the story of a little girl who lives near train tracks. She tells readers about the lives of many people who live near train tracks and how bad it is to live there because there is so much noise and pollution. She feels her beautiful house is slowly getting spoilt due to its proximity to the rail roads. The solution offered by the government and the rail authorities run into half a million dollars. This book speaks about the rights of the citizens living in a small town.

This is a book that makes children aware of the hazards of living near train tracks. The illustrations and writings speak about the difficulties faced by the residents who have to suffer noise and smoke pollution. The girl speaks about the trains ruining the beauty of the house and how it has changed the place from paradise to misery. The girl asks the township to restore peace and the beauty of the place back to its residents. The illustrations are bright and colorful and they attract children instantly. Illustrations always play a key role in children's story books, in making the concept clear to them.

The book also has an underlying message about the rights of citizens. It is a nice concept conveyed to children through this story. There is no better way than this to make children aware of the rights of citizens.
