Uncommon Poems, Common People is a collection of poems written over a period of 40 years. With some beautiful verses, T.D. Kruser explores the human condition through the lens of a person's life. "Victims" speaks of how we all fall victims to the daily rigors of life and feel the need to connect with someone to cope with it. "The Unmasking" recounts a person's quest for freedom and living an unrestrained life true to themselves. "For You, My Friend" is an ode to all the dreamers who dream of a better future. "First Love" is a nostalgic look at one's past and time with their first lover. "Student of Life" showcases how sharing your pain and caring for others helps us grow into better people and makes it easier to navigate the complexities of life.

T.D. Kruser's enthralling collection covers a myriad of different aspects that make up a person's life. The poems strike a chord in your heart with relatable subject matter that everyone experiences in their lives. Love, despair, loneliness, friendship, regret, and hope are some of the themes explored throughout the book. Despite the common underlying ideas and themes, each poem also offers something unique that makes them distinct and all the more captivating to read. You feel a sense of pertinent familiarity with the verses due to the intimate and personal touch of the author's words. I enjoyed every single poem in Uncommon Poems, Common People, with "Student of Life" being my personal favorite of the bunch. Highly recommended.

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Uncommon Poems Common People" by T.D. Kruser (Terry Kruser).]…..4 out of 4 stars
Poetry can express feelings we don't completely understand, but it can be hard to interpret poems when they have various complicated and unusual words. However, I didn't have that problem when I read this book since the author uses simple sentences that we usually hear in daily conversations. Still, he maintained the rhythm and the meaning of the verses. Furthermore, the accessible speeches combined with well-known thoughts about feelings make this book easy and fast to read.
Uncommon Poems Common People by T.D. Kruser (Terry Kruser) is a poetry book that brings the author's perspective and experiences about the themes of love, friendship, sorrow, loneliness, separation, and other thoughts that most of us think about at some point in life. It has six parts named "The Edge," "For the Heart," "From the Heart," "Life Echoes," "More Reflections on The Edge," and "The Rest."
In the beginning, I thought the simple sentences and common structures could produce cliches. Fortunately, I found out I was wrong. Kruser uses brilliant metaphors that the reader can interpret in various manners and verses with inspiring principles that create this unique poetry book. For example, my favorite poem was "Fulfillment," which encourages the reader to love and be kind.
My favorite part of this book was the author's unique writing style. It might be affected by the fact that this book brings poems from the author's youth. However, it wasn't a problem, in my opinion, since the progress culminates in the author's mature and full-blown writing with a more thoughtful and less impulsive style. It was marvelous to see the author's writing style changing according to his life period. He also uses repetitions, rhymes, alliterations, and various other resources to express himself.
I didn't dislike anything in this book. I found only a single typing error that didn't affect my reading, so it seems professionally edited, and I'm not going to lower my rating.
Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It's a thoughtful poetry book that portrays the author's reflections and his maturation as a writer. I recommend it to those people who enjoy short poems about feelings. I also recommend it to readers who usually consider the poetic language too complicated since this volume might change their minds. Nevertheless, I don't recommend it to those people who don't like introspective books since the author approaches various themes with his reflections and experiences.

4 out of 4 stars
Uncommon Poems Common People by T.D. Kruser is a poetry collection that cuts across feelings, thoughts, and experiences relatable to everyone. The book is like a voice that speaks for all. It expresses in deep words the art and price of loving. As it reveals the pain that comes with loving, living, and the need to accept reality; it exudes the strong will to never give up– not on oneself, nor on others, nor on love itself! It reveals the inexcusable faces of Loneliness, friendship, and connections.
We all go through a different rush of emotions that leaves us with questions and yearn for answers as we spend our days. The poesis unveils meanings that will leave its readers with mind-searching thoughts that fill the heart with great satisfaction.
Uncommon Poems Common People is a book that preaches, hope, comfort, peace, and strength to its reader; It makes clear the foggy beauty of love, of life, of cries, of solitude, of loneliness, of heartbreak, of meeting, of parting, of we humans with common feelings; It teaches morals beneficial to all through life courses.

I loved the way T.D. Kruser makes use of proper descriptions using the right metaphors and similes. Most pertaining to nature– I love nature! This helped create imagery in my head, thereby making the poem easy to picture and refreshing to read.
I loved the switching of the poems from first-person narrative to second-person narrative to third-person narrative. That produced a very nice and generous flow I found amusing.
I appreciated the fact that the poetry unfolds not only in a narrative manner but also conversational. It, therefore, leaves a friendly atmosphere for readers.
I also loved the manner in which T.D. Kruser emphasizes the keywords titles by repetition. It follows a steady and appealing pace. So, even as I had to read a word or statement over again some couple of times, I didn't get tired.
The poem is in the form of a body having different parts working together for the actualization of a goal. I appreciated the structural make-up, it is so professional and unique.
Some of my favorites are Embraceless(I could relate so well with it), In perfect love, and Your way.
I couldn't imagine a more perfect ending than that of the book. The last poems were so touching and fitting, it feels like a process finally completed, a very nice way to end things. The afterward gave a glimpse into the Author's mind of the book makeup, so generous of T.D. Kruser for sharing.
