...and then I write.
I have lead what I would like to think has been an interesting life. As I experienced a myriad of events and dreamed vividly each night about adventure, excitement and more, I quickly found that it was fun to record those experiences, to write and remember in both poetry and story. Using that writing became second nature and I would tell the stories that had happened or been dreamed and enjoy a moment with someone only to create another story with them and so on.
Originally I was from Anderson, Indiana, but it is hard to know where home was as we moved each year until I was 15. As such I have experienced a variety of events, some great, and some not so great. I believe as many that strong emotions build a story more than the mundane, and I have been involved in some difficult times.
In 2015 I decided short stories were not enough and began writing my first novel. I picked a title that fit, then shifted the title for advertising purposes but believe I have written something fun, full of action, and enjoyable to many. In the end that will be for you to decide. More will follow as I will be building with the characters in Vengeful Son and enjoying the time.
In my spare time I am all over the place with hobbies, from photography to weaponry it is very broad. I shoot often, and enjoy life every day.

Vengeful Son: Book 1 of the Masterson Files is an action thriller written by Andrew Allen Smith. Over the years, Jonathan Michael Masterson’s skill as a sniper and operative had been in some demand by both governments and private parties, but something happened to make him decide to close that chapter in his life for good. He was now enjoying a quiet and peaceful existence on the 700-acre spread of unspoiled wilderness he had found in the Appalachian Mountains. He lived there with his girlfriend, Abby, who seemed to be his perfect complement. Their idyllic retreat, however, was suddenly rendered unsafe after Michael made the decision to answer his doorbell. Madison was Michael’s ex-girlfriend as well as a close friend of Abby, and she was there to ask Michael to help her rescue her mother from the North Koreans. She had managed to wangle the address of his retreat out of Michael’s aunt, but she had been careless in her haste. First, there was the warning telephone message placed by an anonymous well-wisher, then there were the four men trying to stealthily approach the house.
Andrew Allen Smith’s action thriller novel, Vengeful Son: Book 1 of the Masterson Files, is a fast-paced and exciting story about vengeance, betrayal and one man’s attempt to leave his past behind. Smith’s characters are well-defined and authentic, especially Michael and Abby, and his story is intricate and well-plotted. I particularly enjoyed the underlying mystery that drives the story and had fun trying to figure out who or what was behind the action being taken against Michael, and whether he and Abby would survive. Vengeful Son is a taut, suspenseful and well-written thriller; it’s most highly recommended.
