War of the Chaotic Worlds II by Hermione Lee is a continuation of the third book of the Otherworld Trilogy. The tension was palpable and the fate of the Otherworld was resting on Alexandria and her friends’ shoulders! If they failed then peace and equality would be erased from their world. There was no way out, there would be no compromise. They either win or fall into devastation. Fighting in a war and struggling against the mistrust that was building among the people, will the Otherworld come out victorious in this fight, or were they doomed from the very start?
Intense, engaging, enticing, and bittersweet! War of the Chaotic Worlds II took me on a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. All the suspense from the previous book explodes into this last tale! I read through the pages with great anticipation as I have been with these characters as they grew from being alienated or pushed aside to becoming better versions of themselves. Hermione Lee knew how to set the stage for a great finale, building up the excitement and anticipation with every book! Alexandria, her friends, and the Otherworld had been through so much devastation and loss that I couldn’t help but get teary as I finished the book. Through pain, loss, and betrayals, they came out broken and hurt but stronger for it and that made them amazing!
Alexandria and her friends have taught me the value of friendship, trust, and responsibility. They had shown great bravery and determination in every dangerous situation they faced. Their world was not perfect but sometimes these imperfections were what made it special. I have learned valuable lessons from their adventures. It has been a long, dangerous road for them but they triumphed. Lee has written something beautiful and unforgettable. The lessons Alexandria imparted and the stories of her and her friends' adventures will be etched in my heart forever. Excellent work!
