Telling the truth can be like opening a magical door. Sometimes it can be scary to try, but in the end, it makes you feel happy inside, loved, and trusted by people around you. C.M. Harris shows this attribute aptly in What If We Were All Honest! This is a lovely children’s book that highlights the power of honesty, starting from how we feel about telling the truth without feeling judged. It shows honesty in small things children can do, to the big things they can accomplish as adults. What do you think the world would be like if everyone were completely honest about themselves and their actions? Read this book filled with love for humanity and discover the magic of simply being honest.

What If We Were All Honest! is a beautifully crafted book with great themes like honesty, politeness, empathy, courage, emotions, accountability, confidence, kindness, respect, trust, and family. I love how the book simplifies the concept of honesty, not just teaching children but also inspiring adults. It celebrates children being true to themselves and authentic. The book encourages children to try again after making a mistake or breaking a rule, which is remarkable. I also appreciate how it shows children they can share the truth with trusted people without fear, which is beautiful. The wonderful illustrations by Victor Lopes bring so much creativity and life to each page. The rhymes and other literary devices make reading more enjoyable. I recommend this book to young readers.
