Can Henry capture the fiend before tragedy strikes and still win Alice’s heart?
Windvale by Karen Thornell is a beautiful story of finding love when and where you least expect it. Loyalty, love, conspiracy, and danger thread throughout the plot, creating an exciting and captivating clean romance. I loved every character. They are well-developed and stand out. The villains are perfect foils for the protagonists, Henry, Alice, and Henry’s sister Julia, who are appealing and admirable. With a few twists and turns, the story unfolds at a perfect pace, keeping the suspense and apprehension alive. From the moment Henry steps onto the island, there is a sense of time running out, and a low-key atmosphere of menace lies just beneath the surface. The writing is impeccable. It is a bewitching romance novel enhanced by action and suspense, and will charm everyone who loves a clean romance spiced with danger.
