Without Reservations: Roadmap to Romance by Shonda Ramsey is a gentle, faith‑centered second‑chance romance that brings Tess and Luke back into each other’s lives after more than two decades apart. Once high‑school sweethearts who spent several summers building a quiet, hopeful love, they were separated far too soon. Now, twenty‑six years later, a string of small mishaps—a delayed flight, a rental car mix‑up, and a double‑booked condo—place Luke unexpectedly on Tess’s doorstep. What follows is a warm, nostalgic story about two people who never fully forgot what they once shared. The author leans into the sweetness of the setup, using the forced‑proximity situation to let old memories resurface, new conversations unfold, and long‑buried questions finally get answered.

As someone who enjoys clean Christian romance, I found this story both comforting and engaging. Tess and Luke feel like real people with real history, and their interactions have a softness that comes from age, experience, and the quiet work of grace. Their chemistry isn’t flashy, but it’s steady and believable. More like a spark that never went out than something newly lit. I especially appreciated how naturally the “stuck together” circumstances fit the story. Nothing felt overly coincidental or exaggerated just to engineer drama. It all worked together for the sake of the story. Shonda Ramsey's Without Reservations is a sweet read I’d gladly recommend to fans of second‑chance love stories, especially those who appreciate gentle pacing, emotional sincerity, and the reminder that God can weave redemption into places we thought were long closed off to us.
