You and I: The Kate and Robert Chronicles by Suzanne Eglington is an intense story, a sizzling romance that is as gripping as any romance can be. When Kate meets Robert, she knows instantly that her heart belongs to him. The couple sets out on an exciting and exhilarating romantic ride that completely transforms Kate’s life. It’s the magic of love and her man knows just how to take her to the heights of pleasure. But there is a problem: Kate knows very little about the man who has completely won over her heart. Somewhere deep inside, she feels the darkness of his soul. She knows he keeps some secrets and they won’t be pleasant ones. But she is determined to find out what they are. Will their union ever be the same once the truth is laid bare?
What first captivated me about Suzanne Eglington’s writing was the sheer beauty of the prose, and the way that the author conveyed sensual energy. She uses powerful descriptive passages to explore the emotional depth of the characters. Readers can feel their hearts beating as they follow the characters, listening to Kate’s intuition which becomes well-honed as the story progresses. The conflict is well built up and it climaxes quickly, with strong psychological reverberations. This isn’t just a love story, but one that beautifully unveils the finest sentiments of human emotion. The length of the book could leave some readers thinking it might be filled with boring passages, constructed to fill the pages, but one would be wrong to think so because the tight writing follows a gripping plot. You and I: The Kate and Robert Chronicles is a work of rare beauty, a story that offers beautiful lessons on the art of love and that entertains through every page. I couldn’t put it down.
