Kyleah's Mirrors (King of the Trees Book 6) by William D. Burt is the sixth book in this adventure/fantasy series. Kyleah likes helping her father. She is diligent and conscientious. Kyleah awakens an ancient evil that has been sleeping for ages in her village while helping her father tap maple syrup. She finds strength within herself while trying to fight the evil she has unleashed. She also learns to trust the King. The characters in the story are all enchanting and exciting.
I am really enjoying this series by William Burt. Like the rest of the books, this one also has a useful glossary at the end with a pronunciation guide for the words. The character of Kyleah is portrayed as a very strong and confident girl whose trials and tribulations are inspiring to the reader. Kyleah is mocked by the people around her and also by her stepmother and stepsisters because of her limp. However, her determination and strength lead her to victory, mentally and physically. Kyleah will interest and motivate many young female readers.
Like all the previous books of the series, this one also targets readers of all age groups. It is written along the lines of The Lord of the Rings, The Borrowers, and many other adventure stories. The story is enjoyable with all the twists and turns, fantasy, whimsical narration, and the exciting setting.
