Brothers, Bullies and Bad Guys by N.D. Richman is an adventure story of two brothers who set out to find their parents who have been kidnapped. Christopher and Michael unite together in this quest. They embark on this mission and end up finding out that they have to fight for their own lives to survive. The story is a mix of adventure and mystery which makes it an exciting read.
I liked the portrayal of both the characters, Christopher and Michael. They are the characters who give pace and action to the story with their quest. The adventure slowly turns into a mystery once they are over the Pacific Coast mountains after crossing the ocean. The author has developed the plot well and slowly moved from an adventure to a mystery. It is a good story for children and the descriptions make the story visual. The writing style is simple and entertaining. The story moves quickly, keeping readers engaged.
The author has linked the sub-plots along with the main plot very well, making the story flow. The characters are smart and they will impress readers with how they overcome obstacles with a lot of skill. The theme will interest children and all the adventure and mystery will give them a lot of excitement while reading. The other characters also lend good support to Christopher and Michael and make the plot interesting. An enjoyable story and very effortless story telling that makes it an engaging read.
