Author Biography

Author, painter, animal lover, connoisseur of beauty, expert stall mucker, football fanatic, and natural born underdog.

Romance is in the blood, you might say. I grew up watching my father illustrate the book covers of romantic giants such as Danielle Steele and Amanda Quick. And after years of screenwriting, I finally made the switch to novels.

Wow! Just, wow! That's exactly what I thought when I finished reading A Million Different Ways: A Horn Novel Book One by debut author P. Dangelico. The story follows young medical student, Vera Sava, as she flees her home country for Switzerland, determined to outrun a scandal that could lead to her imprisonment and start her life anew. She's no longer able to pursue a career in medicine, and instead finds herself a job as a housekeeper to wealthy American banking heir Sebastian Horn. Sebastian is fighting demons of his own, including his grief at the loss of his beautiful wife in a car accident, and his subsequent addictions to prescription drugs and alcohol that he has used to numb his pain. When it's discovered that someone is intent on killing him, he almost doesn't care; he's ready to leave this world. But when Sebastian and Vera meet, something happens to both of them, something that makes them feel an emotion they weren't sure they would ever feel again: hope.

I loved A Million Different Ways. Loved. It. How's that for a review? It's certainly how I truly felt about this great new entry into the world of romance fiction. Author P. Dangelico has done a fantastic job in creating characters that her readers will care about, connect with, and continue to think of long after the last words are read. If that's not a hallmark of a truly great author, I don't know what is. This story is romantic, exciting and suspenseful, and would appeal to any reader who loves this type of book, or anyone looking for a great work of fiction in general. I highly recommend A Million Different Ways, and certainly look forward to reading more from the very promising new author, P. Dangelico, in the near future!

A Million Different Ways is the first in a series of the Horn Novel by P. Dangelico. This is the story of a beautiful Albanian woman who tries to escape from her past, and eventually ends up as a housekeeper at the estate of American financier Sebastian Horn in Geneva, Switzerland. A former medical student, Vera Sava finds herself as an undocumented foreigner struggling to make both ends meet. She gets to know the mysterious Sebastian Horn, who is also facing his own demons. As they become entangled, both of them are forced to confront their pasts and it could cost them their lives.

P. Dangelico’s A Million Different Ways is a love story between two interesting but troubled people who come from completely different backgrounds. Hiding and staying away from any kind of intimate relationship, Vera Sava is drawn to her wealthy and imperious employer Sebastian Horn, and her world takes an unexpected turn. This is a character driven story and it will be unsurprising if readers do not find Sebastian likable but still, there is something in him that most people can relate to. It is, however, quite easy to sympathize with Vera, so putting the two of them together can elicit a mixed reaction - this is one of the things that makes this story fascinating. Effective and consistent up to the very end, Ms. Dangelico is a gifted storyteller. A Million Different Ways is a modern fairy tale that certainly entertains and I look forward to the next interesting installment!

A Million Different Ways (A Horn Novel Book 1) by P. Dangelico takes us to Geneva, Switzerland where a modern day Cinderella story unfolds. Vera is a woman who has spent the last six years on the run, hiding, and all the while rejecting any kind of relationship as she goes. That is until she meets Sebastian. Vera had been on such a different course in life, she was going to have a career in medicine but instead she ends up becoming a housekeeper. Sebastian is the heir to a banking empire, but he also has his own problems in life that he is dealing with. His wife died in a car accident and to dull that pain he self medicates with pills and drink. When he finds out someone is trying to kill him he almost has a sense of relief about it, but then there is Vera. Can the two heal from their past to have a future? What about the dangers they must face?

I admit, at first glance on reading the jacket cover, I thought this book had leanings towards being another version of 50 Shades of Grey. I am glad I didn't let that judgment stop me from reading and giving this book of a chance; it is nothing like that and is beautifully written. This is a sensual love story wrapped in danger and mystery. A story that is easy for all of us to relate to because no matter who we are there are things in our past that have harmed us and we have to heal from them in order to move forward and find true happiness. I know I have had my fair share of that in real life and I could feel a kinship with both Sebastian and Vera, although of course no one has ever tried to kill me! The mystery and danger really propel the book and keep you hooked into the story being told. P. Dangelico has successfully married mystery, suspense and romance together into an exciting and enjoyable story. I would highly recommend reading this book; you will enjoy every page.

A Million Different Ways by P. Dangelico is the story of Vera Sava and Sebastian Horn. It is also debut author that I am so happy to have read her first book...and cannot wait for the next one. There is a cliffhanger that sets the story for the next book about Vera and Sebastian, but I enjoyed this book so much I didn't really mind it. I wanted the story to keep going on about Vera and Sebastian...it was to good to end in one book. So don't let that hold you back from reading this great book!.

I have read the previous reviews and thought it might not be true that this author had a debut book that hit a home run so quickly. It has happened before for me with other authors, but reading the previews it didn't read to me that it would be a 'WOW' book... how wrong I was!! If you like a hurt (inside and out) alpha male hero with a strong on the run/in trouble women with a heart to big...then this book is for you.

Vera has been on the run for about six years after her father was in trouble for embezzlement and killed himself. Vera was also set up to a part of it by having money transferred into an account with her name on it. So she went on the run instead of facing the false charges. Her friend Emily who is involved with a Russian Mob has been helping her hide and move around.
Vera dream is to get into a residency to work as a Family Dr which she is trained in. While she wait to find that job she takes different jobs while on the run. One leads her to being a housekeeper for Sebastian.

When Sebastian and her meet she is quickly attracted to him but he has an attitude and is very hateful to her. Things don't get any better the next few times they meet. Which makes Vera uncomfortable but at the same time she knows any feels she has for him can move forward not just because she is his housekeeper... she has made it a habit not to get attached to anyone or make friends.

But Sebastian has moved past fighting his attraction to Vera. Vera tries to continue to fight her attraction to him but, he wins her over and they start an affair. Vera tries to make it clear that she plans on leaving as soon as she finds a job to start being a Dr at a Family Practice. That this is just a temporary relationship.

Can Vera stick to her plan of leaving when she get her dream job? Will Sebastian find out she is on the run and why? Sebastian has a lot of trust issue and needs to be in control. Can Vera deal with this after being on her own for so long and running her own life?

I can totally feel the deep views what she was thinking at the time of writting. I love the concept and inspired from her in my own way.
