The romantic in me could not wait to read A Pacific Love by Serag Monier. Arwa prides herself on her discipline and structure as a Human Resource supervisor. It takes a while for her to warm up to Kamel's persistent attentions. Working together causes them to keep the relationship a secret. Arwa thought after they were married they could let others know, but he insisted they keep it confidential. Ziad is an intelligent young dolphin that despises humans and lives for the thrill of dangerous missions. An elder dolphin fills his mind with tales of dolphins who are invited to a magical island. It allows them to turn into a human. This is for the preservation of the dolphins by learning human ways. Ziad is fascinated by this prospect, especially when he meets Arwa. She only wants her heart to heal and find everlasting love. He wants to aid his species and be there for the beautiful woman. Will the magic bring them together or pull them apart?

A Pacific Love is well-laced with magic and hope, which kept me engaged with the idea that dolphins can turn into humans and sacrifice all for love. Serag Monier adds elements of surprise as the story unfolds. As the story progresses, you wonder if Arwa found her everlasting love in Kamel but twists take you down a different path. I found the characters well-developed, though they continue to make unexpected decisions. The connection between Arwa and Ziad is strong, even before she knows who he is. You will finish this love story with an enduring appreciation for the magical love they found and the captivating tale you lived through them.

A Pacific Love is a work of fiction in the romance, fantasy, and interpersonal drama subgenres. It is intended for the general adult reading audience and was penned by author Serag Monier, and translated into English by Eman Thabet. Originally produced in Arabic and set largely in Cairo and around the Pacific Ocean and its coastline, this utterly charming novel tells the epic love story of Arwa and Ziad. Arwa is a woman struggling to cope in her life and often hurt by love, though she still believes in its healing powers. So when she meets a dolphin who doesn’t believe in the caring potential of humanity, a unique bond forms that will take them both on an unbelievable journey.

Author Serag Monier captures the unique spirit of love in this culturally rich and optimistic tale of a meeting of minds and hearts. One of the features I especially enjoyed about this translated version of the novel is how personal the narrative style is, especially for Arwa, as though she is telling her life story to a dear friend. It makes her an extremely appealing character whom readers are sure to empathize with and wish for her happiness right from the opening of the story. I really got into Ziad’s commentary on humanity and so much of the cruelty which happens in the world, and thought that was a very important underlying message that suited the romance element very well indeed. Overall, A Pacific Love is a one-of-a-kind story that I’d definitely recommend to romance fans looking for something unique.

Arwa is a successful businesswoman in Cairo, Egypt. Despite the business success, she aspires to be a family woman married with kids. One day, when she arrives at work, she meets a new employee, Kamel, who is to create and head a new IT department for the company. Arwa tries to remain professional with Kamel but is romanced by his words and kind gestures. They begin dating and soon they get married. Arwa is so in love with Kamel until one day she receives a rude awakening and discovers that Kamel has been unfaithful. They get divorced, but Kamel had a trip planned for them to go to Tahiti. Arwa uses the trip to get away and try to relax. During her trip, she meets Ziad, a very smart dolphin who seems to understand her and makes her feel better. They swim and play together in the ocean. One day, during a boat trip with friends, Arwa falls off the boat and is rescued by her dolphin, Ziad. They end up on a strange island called Moto Muaya and there both Ziad and Arwa make discoveries about themselves and each other and embark on a journey together. Where will their journey take them?

Serag Monier's A Pacific Love is an adventure love story like no other. Ziad and Arwa's bond is pure, innocent, and ever-evolving as they learn more about each other. Serag did an amazing job of creating a backstory for all the characters and making them believable. I learned a bit about the locations around the world with the names of shops, transportation, and other common knowledge that natives would know. A great story with a hint of magic and urban legend that is full of moments of suspense and emotional highs and lows. Serag Monier's A Pacific Love is a must-read for adventure and romance lovers.

A Pacific Love is a fantasy romance novel written by Serag Monier. Cairo resident Arwa thinks she has finally found the love of her life when she meets Kamel while working at her company. But after getting married, Arwa discovers Kamel's philandering ways, forcing her to seek a divorce. Feeling heartbroken and lost, she plans a vacation to the islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora. Upon arrival, Arwa comes in contact with a mysterious dolphin she soon gets quite attached to and names him Ziad. Unbeknownst to her, Ziad is a member of an intelligent marine species on a quest to attain the ability to transform into a rare human on a magical island. As Arwa and Ziad slowly fall head over heels for each other, how much impact will their respective backgrounds have on their future?

A tale of star-crossed lovers who find each other under extraordinary circumstances, A Pacific Love is bound to please readers who love romance and fantasy. Author Serag Monier puts a unique twist on the 'love overwhelming all odds' premise. Monier's two main protagonists come from two very different worlds, as in, they are literally different species. But somehow, it works. Arwa, an independent woman who lost her trust in men, finds herself intoxicated by someone who lives in the moment, doesn't make grand plans, whose only wish is to share his time with her and make her happy. This is a romantic story that leaves a lot to ponder about. Recommend to lovers of romance and fantasy alike.

Kamel’s charm had intrigued Arwa since the first day he joined her company. Soon afterward, they started chatting, and an office romance gradually blossomed. Although Arwa was initially cautious, Kamel’s romantic gestures swept her off her feet. A few extravagant dates and foreign trips later, they got married. However, Arwa’s world shatters when she comes to know the shocking truth about her husband. In a parallel storyline, the dolphin Ziad receives a tempting proposition from an elderly dolphin of his pod. Being of higher intelligence, Ziad can visit the magical island of Moto Muaya and shapeshift into a human. Although disdainful of the cruel humans, Ziad decides to take a chance. You have to read A Pacific Love by Serag Monier to find out what happens when Arwa's and Ziad’s paths cross.

The novel is a wonderful fusion of romance and magical realism. Monier excelled in narrating the story from two distinctly different perspectives - one human and one dolphin. I loved reading Arwa’s chapters as they perfectly captured her emotions, ranging from devastating grief to utter joy. At the same time, Ziad’s chapters provided us with glimpses into the active social life of dolphins. Monier explored different avenues of love, be it romantic or spiritual, selfish or selfless. When Arwa's and Ziad’s stories converged, the plot took a turn toward the supernatural. Their curious experiences at Moto Muaya introduced us to some real-life horrors. Yet, this feel-good story depicted how true love could find a way against all odds. I would recommend A Pacific Love to readers who appreciate romantic stories with a dash of magic.
