A Place Between the Stars by Morgan Adams is a delicious brew of fantasy adventure, consisting of equal parts steamy romance, violent action, and magical powers. The story follows a young woman named Liv who falls through a portal, taking her from her not-so-happy life on Earth to another planet somewhere among the stars. Her new home has similarities to Earth but the people and their way of life seem strange and deadly to an ordinary human girl like Liv. She is soon rescued by a band of three warriors who make it their mission to help Liv find a way back to her planet. One of the warriors is the fearless and handsome Ryland who finds himself drawn to Liv, as she is to him. Their plans to help Liv take a turn for the worse when an evil ruler discovers a dark secret about Liv and seeks to kill her at any cost.

A Place Between the Stars is a well-crafted novel that should delight fans of romantic fantasy. The relationship between Liv and Ryland is compelling and beautifully written. The plot is pleasingly simple, focusing on Liv’s personal journey that quickly becomes intertwined with the plight of a good race of people who have been oppressed by an evil ruler. The depth of this story comes from the intricate characters who inhabit every scene. They are thrilling to watch as they form bonds of love, laughter, and sacrifice. This book, by Morgan Adams, is a well-written fantasy adventure that deserves to be given a place among the stars of the genre.

This book is very engaging. I started reading and got sucked right in! It became my nightly routine for four nights. Not the genre I generally read and I didn't really know what to expect. Really delightful to read! Looking for more from this author!

For the author's first book, this was pretty good. Sure, there were rough parts, but overall, the author tells a good story. The main character, Liv, is a strong-willed female character who does her best to deal with the out-of-this-world circumstances she lands in. The characters are well developed. The story does eventually grab you and you won't want to put the book down. Plus, there's a cute love story, and who doesn't love a good love story?

What a page turner! The story line pulls you in immediately and each chapter ends with enough suspense that you fall into the “just one more chapter” rabbit hole. The characters are witty, charming, and have a great dynamic. Though the world is not of the Fae, it has a Sarah J Maas vibe. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book!
