Agentic Intelligence: Strategy at the Speed of Data by Manish Sood with Venkat Venkatraman examines what companies must put in place before AI agents can handle real business decisions. The authors begin with a familiar problem inside modern organizations: a company can collect enormous amounts of information while its departments still work with separate versions of the information. When an AI agent enters that setting, it may answer a customer, approve a request, or guide an operation using records that the business has never properly integrated. The book is built around ten rules, and, through that structure, Sood and Venkatraman show why AI at scale depends on one trusted operating picture, built before machines are assigned work that can change what a person receives from the company during daily business.

Manish Sood and Venkat Venkatraman’s Agentic Intelligence is really timely and important in an era where companies are outsourcing tasks to AI agents. Its value lies in the warning that a business must know what information an AI agent sees before that agent makes a client decision. The writing is well developed, and it fits right in with a business owner testing AI at work. I like how the book inserts actionable tools that can be slipped into daily operations immediately. For example, a call center supervisor could check one AI refund denial today by finding which order record the tool used, and a clinic scheduler could review why an appointment tool moved one patient, then teach staff when to step in. As a guide for businesses, this is a great piece, effectively serving business heads who are responsible for AI that acts inside daily operations.
