All Roads Lead to Nowhere is an epic thriller set in a futuristic dystopia where the United States has fallen to the People's Republic of China and Russia. The country is divided into the Paradise Cities, where the rich and privileged have their sanctuaries, while the Others live in the wasteland called Nowhere. Written by Alexander Skikos, the story follows six different individuals from both sides of the aisle finding themselves being part of a revolution that might lead to a new world order. Levi O'Scandrick becomes an enemy of the state when he decides to reveal a closely-guarded secret that may topple the regime. Janet Sims is a young influencer who finds herself banished from Paradise City, leading her to join a group of rebels from Nowhere who are in a fight against the President of the United States.
Author Alexander Skikos takes readers into a sprawling dystopian world that lovers of sci-fi stories like Blade Runner or Westworld will find hard to put down. All Roads Lead to Nowhere is a phenomenal piece of work that explores some timely issues such as fascism, totalitarianism, and the notion of freedom. Skikos's worldbuilding is of the highest caliber, and you can't help but appreciate the contrast between the landscapes of futuristic Paradise Cities and the rugged terrain of Nowhere. Each character is distinct, with inner conflicts and motives that add layers to their outward personas. As a fan of dystopian tales, I had an absolute blast with All Roads Lead to Nowhere. Highly recommended.
