Amina Fairy-In-Training by Shaneisha Dodson is the story of a beautiful tooth fairy that is smaller than her peers. Amina yearns for the day that she is no longer considered to be in training. All she wants is to become a fully-fledged fairy and earn her magic wand. She studies the Fairy Book every day to learn everything she can about being a great tooth fairy. It seemed that no matter how hard she studied or how many lucky teeth she planted, she was always the last fairy to be called for an assignment. How will she ever become a successful fairy if she’s always stuck at the back behind the bigger fairies?
Amina Fairy-In-Training by Shaneisha Dodson is an adorable children’s story that encourages kids to try harder at everything they do. Kids can easily relate to the characters and understand how it feels to be the last one chosen just because they are a little bit smaller than the others. I love how the vivid and bright illustrations bring the story to life. Kids can learn a lot from Amina’s persistence and determination as she studies and practices as hard as she can to succeed. I recommend this story to anyone with young children so they can learn how important it is never to give up on their dreams, no matter how big they might be. I hope to see many more children’s stories with important life lessons from Dodson.
