Angel Collection by Regina Puckett is a compilation of three touching stories about belief and love. The first story, If Love Were Enough, watches April's heartbreak on the day of her husband's funeral. Her belief in goodness has been shattered when her prayers to God go answered and then she has an unexpected encounter and her outlook is changed forever. In Balloon Wishes, Jacob asks God for guidance on whether he should keep a promise he made to his friend before he died. The answer comes suddenly when he meets Ms Gabriel. The final story, Under The Cover Of Wings, is a heart-wrenching story of a little boy called Zachery, who has to run for safety when his abusive step-father attacks his mother. Hiding out in a forest, he pleads for his mother and baby sister to be saved, and what happens next will shock you.
Angel Collection by Regina Puckett is an absolute must for anyone’s bookshelf. Each story gave me goosebumps and the message was inspiring and so soothing to the soul. Ms Gabriel was a beautifully written character and full of warmth and kindness, just as you would want an angel to be. This is not a slushy romantic novel about faith and God, but three stories surrounding people's belief and emotions when they lose a loved one. I can relate entirely to this book and read it in one sitting. The final story about Zachary actually brought tears to my eyes as I was urging him to find safety. A great epilogue tied up all my unanswered questions.
