No one knows exactly what is happening in the world, but somehow people are vanishing at alarming rates. Even worse, there seems to be no way of knowing who’s next, where they’re going, or even why they might be taken. At least, not until two detectives, Tom and Jake, get on the case. What they start to uncover, and what Elena can tell them, seems to be something no one could have imagined, but it’s only the beginning of what is to come. Because all the stories that have been told about aliens and abductions and other planets could never prepare them and everyone else for what’s about to come their way in Arrival by Alex Slade.
This book pulled you into the story of several different characters who were simply going about their normal lives when everything suddenly changed. It really helps you get to know each of them and what they’re going through. It introduces the idea of alien encounters in an entirely new way, looking at them as not so random after all. I really liked the characters and the way they were developed throughout the story, but I especially liked how they worked together and had to use their own ingenuity to try to save themselves and everyone else. This is a story with courage and adventure and a whole lot of intrigue going on throughout. I enjoyed Arrival and I think that a lot of other people will too. You’ll definitely be glad you picked it up and will want to read the next one.
