Athens Shrugged by Craig Shaneck is a captivating espionage thriller. Ezekial Tanner used to be a government spy, but his life took a different turn when he became a hired criminal. Wallace Constantine is an accountant who took time off to go on a vacation. These two people don’t know each other and should never have met. Ezekial’s job sends him to a sleepy Greek village where he fails to find his targets but meets Wallace instead. But Wallace is blamed when an explosion nearly kills Ezekial in Athens. Wallace and Ezekial must work together now to find out who is after them and why.
Athens Shrugged by Craig Shaneck is a cracking thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through. This is riveting reading and you’ll be gripped from page one right to the very end. Two complete strangers are thrown together in unexpected circumstances and non-stop action in a story so descriptive it feels as though you are living it as it happens. The characters are highly enjoyable, likable, and easy to relate to, with the two main characters interacting seamlessly. There is some humor thrown in to lighten things, perfectly balanced with the serious side of the story, and plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. And with such an unexpected ending, this story will definitely leave you wanting more. This is a fantastic story, recommended to anyone who loves a good thriller.
