Ava as a Top Seller is a children's book by Tuula Pere that tells the story of Ava, a young girl who dreams of becoming a market vendor. Whenever she visits the market with her mother, she loves helping her favorite trinket vendor, Mr. Stuff. Ava has impressive selling and marketing skills, and she enjoys assisting customers in finding the perfect items to suit their needs. She also appreciates Mr. Stuff's company, as he is a funny and charming man. He teaches her about responsibility and helps her develop her marketing abilities. One day, however, Ava makes a mistake that lands her in a difficult situation. With Mr. Stuff's guidance and support, she learns a valuable lesson about paying attention.
Ava as a Top Seller is part of the Axel and Ava series and addresses various themes, including entrepreneurship, the importance of responsibility, and the value of mentorship. The book encourages young readers to explore their aspirations while gaining insight into how businesses operate. Through Ava's journey, readers can learn about customer service, ambition, passion, and the importance of learning from mistakes. I particularly loved the relationship between Mr. Stuff and Ava as it beautifully illustrates the positive impact of mentorship on a young person's growth. Tuula Pere's storytelling brings the narrative to life, and her use of simple language makes the book easy to read and understand. The colorful illustrations by Nyamdorj Lkhaasuren perfectly depict the characters and market scene. Additionally, the story encourages parents to support their children's dreams, which is a crucial message for fostering confidence and ambition in young ones. Overall, this is a fantastic read that I highly recommend to young readers and their parents. It not only entertains but also educates about essential life skills and the significance of nurturing dreams.
