Awakening Transformation: A Beginner’s Guide to Becoming Your Higher Self by Tianna Roser is a non-fiction spiritual philosophy self-help guide for readers looking for a way to uplift every aspect of their being. Roser begins with a brief overview of the shackles that a linear way of thinking creates, a theme that runs through the whole book with nuggets of fact such as: “Many people are bound in chains of beliefs, imperceptible to them because they see them as truths.” She also addresses this using her own personal life experience. The book then covers the “why” of who we are and our purpose as individual souls and as part of the collective before being broken down into four distinct and interconnected chapters on Self. These include Know Yourself, Love Yourself, Empower Yourself, and Become Your Higher Self.
Tianna Roser wastes no time in providing the immersive experience required of all of us when on a journey of understanding in Awakening Transformation. The connection I felt was immediate partly because Roser is a profoundly honest writer and also because of the conversational nature of her writing style. I am definitely a beginner but had an elementary understanding of karma and reincarnation after spending some months on a physical journey in India. However, I was not in a state where I was ready to receive. I am now, and Roser is exactly what I need. I will warn you, though, there will be times where one will stop and set the work aside because working through it is very, very tough. For me, forgiveness is inner work and not an outward action. The reality is that letting go was incredibly difficult. Like her, I too found another hurt buried almost as soon as I moved on from the last. There is still a lot of work for me, and the daily forgiveness prayer is really helpful. This is a fantastic, insightful book, and I’m so happy to have come across it.
