In Shawn Allen Stewart’s Bailey & Daisy’s Day at The Pampered Pooch, the rescue dogs are ecstatic to have a spa day. Bailey and Daisy take it all in as they receive bubble baths, blow dries, paw massages, and a grooming experience for royalty. Daisy has quite an imagination, looking for adventures in every nook and corner of the spa. In contrast, Bailey enjoys the quiet and relaxation of the day. The groomers subtly size up each dog’s personality and craft a spa experience that highlights their individuality. Daisy is quite the ham, prancing around showing off her new look. Bailey looks on, wrapped in a warm towel, with an amused smile. Through the vibrant illustrations from Mozhdeh Tohidi, paired with the heartwarming tone of Mr. Stewart’s writing, Bailey and Daisy are celebrated and experience a magical self-care adventure.
Every page of Bailey & Daisy’s Day at The Pampered Pooch by Shawn Allen Stewart left a big smile on my face. It was a delightful read of love and celebration of man’s best friends. Stewart’s heart for these rescue dogs was displayed in every word written. His writing left me with such an inner feeling of warmth and gratitude for the companionship our beloved pets bring us. I was also reminded that joy is often found in the small adventures of life rather than the grand gestures. Tohidi’s illustrations spectacularly spotlighted Bailey's and Daisy’s personalities. I read this story with my children at their bedtime. We all three highly recommend it, and my son and daughter both want more stories about Bailey and Daisy. So, I go forth to seek other books in Stewart’s The Bailey & Daisy Series for us to share. Thank you, Shawn, for a wonderful adventure that we were able to experience together.
