Welcome to Bearville, a wonderful community of 315 bears. Although these bears live together and share everything Bearville has to offer, are they really living while they are all glued to their gizmos and gadgets, and other electronics? From young to old, most bears are more interested in what’s on their devices than anything else. Yes, they spend some time away from them, but not a lot. What would happen if one day these electronics stopped working, and they were all forced to pursue other activities? Come find out if the community of Bearville can handle no screen time in Bears Unplugged! by Papa Moose.
Bears Unplugged! A Screen-Free Adventure by Papa Moose is a delightful children’s picture book featuring a well-developed plot and interesting characters. The vivid and well-drawn pictures by William Velasco will hold the attention of the young reader. The concept of the story is well thought out and will reach audiences of all ages. As a society, we spend more time connected to some sort of electronic device for most of our day. Teaching young children to seek out other activities away from these devices is highly beneficial. This book will remind young and older readers alike to think of other ways to entertain and busy themselves throughout the day without the modern conveniences we are all too used to having. A wonderful book for parents, grandparents, and teachers to share with children. I loved this book and highly recommend adding it to a child's book collection or school library.
