Both Sides by Manisha is a fun and light-hearted story that you’re sure to enjoy. It revolves around Nathanial, a prankster who lives for April Fool's Day. This year, he jokingly claims he’s going to take a break from his usual antics, but his best buddies, Vijay and Ron, aren’t buying it for a second. Unknown to them (or so Nathanial thinks), he’s cooking up a sneaky plan to prank them while pretending to be on his best behavior. But here’s where it gets really exciting: the tables turn in the most unexpected way. Nathanial finds himself on the receiving end of a clever and elaborate joke that his friends have orchestrated. It’s a delightful twist that adds so much fun to the story. At its core, the book balances lighthearted humor with meaningful themes of trust and friendship, reminding us of the joy that comes from playful mischief.
What I loved most were the characters. Nathanial is hilariously determined to outdo himself each year, and you can’t help but root for him. Meanwhile, Vijay and Ron bring a wonderful sense of friendship and cleverness that enriches the narrative. The theme of friendship shines brightly, showing that even when things get a bit chaotic, real connections can stand the test of time. The writing is approachable and enjoyable, filled with natural dialogue and vivid descriptions that made me feel right there in the moment, laughing along with the characters. Both Sides by Manisha is a charming and quick read that’ll leave you chuckling and feeling good about the playful dynamics among friends. You won’t want to miss it. I had a big laugh at the end of the story.
