In Bridges to Leadership, Oded Agam chronicles his leadership journey through diverse roles in technology and nonprofit sectors. After earning his master’s in electrical engineering and pursuing an MBA, Agam began his career at RADCOM and later co-founded a startup, MaxPO. At Intel, he managed the ATOM™ CPU product line and led the successful Skylake project, generating over $30 billion in revenue. Agam's work covered strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and the RAPID framework for accountability. He developed the Long-Term Outlook (LTO) for trend forecasting and implemented Management by Objectives (MBO). Shifting to nonprofit work, he volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Israel and co-founded NextLeap Ventures, applying his leadership principles and business strategies to both sectors and sharing them in this book.

Bridges to Leadership offers an insightful look into Oded Agam's journey through the tech industry and beyond. He does well in pulling together his experiences from startups to major corporations, demonstrating a keen understanding of leadership dynamics. Agam’s writing is simple and straightforward, blending personal anecdotes with practical wisdom. I liked his account of leading Intel's Skylake project and found his strategic planning of particular interest. It really elevated my perception as a reader of his adeptness at fostering innovation. I thought that the book’s strength lies in its refreshingly candid discussions of failures, like the MaxPO venture, paired with lessons learned and successes achieved. Overall, Bridges to Leadership is a thoughtful read that employs personal experience to solidify actionable leadership strategies, making it a relevant and timely contribution to leadership self-help.
