Broom Hilda Goes House Hunting by M. D. Johnson is a fun picture book for young children. After being forced out of her home because of some silly rumor going around about her, Broom Hilda decides to look for a new place to call home. She hires a realtor, who has misconceptions about her needs. Broom Hilda is shown a cave, a farm, and even a forest, which makes her sad. She is shown these homes simply because she is a witch, but even witches desire a nice, happy home. After so many disappointments, will Broom Hilda find her perfect home?

Broom Hilda Goes House Hunting was an enjoyable book to read. Talented author M. D. Johnson will delight readers with yet another wonderful story. I know how good a writer Johnson is, especially when it comes to children's books. The author knows how to capture the reader's attention from the moment they see the title, followed by an attractive front cover. The illustrations are colorful and professional and any child will adore them! The writing is simple, allowing children to follow along more easily, whilst making the reading experience much more enjoyable. I recommend this book and all other Broom Hilda stories to anyone who has young children. They will be entertained throughout and will want to read it over and over again. I hope to read even more of this author’s work and I will be keeping an eye out for the next one.
