Charlie Bingham Gets Clocked, Volume 1 by Maggie M. Larche is a fun story for children. Charlie Bingham is an adorable boy and he wants to have a peaceful day at school. Ever since school started, Charlie has been trying to create a good impression on his teacher, Miss Walker. His friend Brad steals Miss Walker's antique alarm clock and things get out of hand. Now it's up to Charlie and their friend Alyssa to return the antique clock and they don't want to get caught. The adventures that follow after that will keep readers in stitches. Will Alyssa and Charlie be able to return the antique clock without getting caught?
This engaging story is filled with madness, humor, laughs and adventure that will make readers smile. The many twists and turns as the story progresses will keep kids glued till the very end. Charlie is a lovable character and readers will adore him and his mischief. Alyssa and Brad ably support him in his mad adventures, along with the other characters. The author's fluid writing style gives a good pace and movement to the story. The clarity in narration makes the scenes in the story visual and palpable to readers, making them connect easily with the events. I am eagerly waiting for the next volume to read more about the adventures of Charlie, Houdini, Alyssa and Brad. And I am sure readers are also waiting too!
