Get ready for a roller coaster ride in Confessions From a Coffee Shop by T.B. Markinson. Cori Tisdale had a promising career. Being a star basketball player for Harvard and with an amazing book deal, she was on cloud nine. Suddenly, a few years later, that promising future is nowhere in sight. Her girlfriend is a shopaholic and that has landed them in a deep ditch. To make ends meet, Cori takes up a part time job at a café.

However, life wasn’t done throwing arrows at her. One night she meets her ex at the coffee shop and the two start a renewed friendship. Everything was good and smooth until Samantha tells her two secrets and she can’t tell Kat. Will this be the end of Cori and Kat’s relationship? Or can they survive this rocking boat and come out clean, safe and together in the end?

I really, truly appreciated what T.B. Markinson did in Confessions From a Coffee Shop. While other writers are only writing lesbian romance in the erotica genre, Markinson has shown us these couples in a different light. It does not have to be erotic to catch the attention of a reader. If it is good, readers will read it and, best of all, enjoy it. I swear I had a smile on my face from the moment I started reading this novel. Cori and Kat are adorable, plus Kat’s shopping addiction is totally relatable. Kudos to Cori for not throwing a tantrum, but taking charge of the situation in a way that tells you she is a loving partner. Five smashing stars for this incredible novel.
