Copper Waters is the fourth book in the Annalisse Series by Marlene M. Bell. After failing to convince her boyfriend, Alec Zavos, to take a paternity test to discover whether claims by his ex-wife are valid, antiquities expert Annalisse Drury (Anna) comes across a clue that may lead to her missing biological mother, Kate. Searching for answers, Anna travels across the globe to New Zealand, followed closely by private investigator Bill Drake. Anna's and Bill's arrival in the small town of Temuka is off to a rough start when the man who picked them up from the airport suffers a horrifying death. After a second unexpected death of a man in Woolcombe Station, Anna and Bill unwittingly become entangled in an investigation with far-reaching consequences. They soon learn that small-town secrets are not so easily revealed.
