Each of Us by Sarah Allison is a heartwarming children’s book that follows five sweet friends who all come from different backgrounds, have different family traditions, and enjoy different things. Following Saraiya, Brynnlee, Jaye, Laila, and Charlotte, readers get a glimpse into their lives on a day-to-day basis and on special occasions. Despite the things that make them different, they are all still the best of friends. With magical illustrations, Each of Us is a story that every young child should pick up and read at some point!

Each one of us is unique in our own way, and I loved how this book embraced that idea. It can be so easy to compare ourselves to others; I know that I struggled with that when I was a little girl, and even now at times. The illustrations by Lady Bruniere were simply wonderful to look at. I could’ve spent hours dissecting each page and its beauty. Each character was great, and I enjoyed learning about some family traditions that tend to happen in other cultures. Not only was Each of Us fun, but it was also educational in a captivating way. I learned something new while reading this book, and I think others will too. I would recommend Each of Us by Sarah Allison to families with young children. I think this story can be very empowering to young ones who might struggle with feeling different from those around them and this book can be a great reminder that we are all special and unique the way we are.
