In Finding Hope in Time of Grief, Preston and Glenda Parrish discuss the sudden death of their twenty-five year old son and Preston's father all in the same week.

Following their period of grieving, the authors wrote this book to provide a tool for others to find peace by using Bible verses. The authors also share memorable stories and special moments that they had with their son, Nathan, before and after his death, which makes this book a wonderful tribute to their son and his life. Even though this is a book on grief and dealing with death, the Parrishes managed to expertly write a book that will make you smile and bring hope in your time of grief. Using real words for these real grieving times, the Parrishes truthfully expressed their feelings and their need for Jesus Christ’s strength and help.

I have never suffered terrible grief as the Parrishes did when his father and their son passed away both in the same week. I found this book an interesting and encouraging read. It will be a great comfort in helping help others in their time of grief.

This is a read that will make you cry, smile, rejoice, grieve, and ponder all the questions that you have about life and the afterlife-rejoicing in being with Christ! Some may find this book difficult to read especially if you have experienced the loss of a loved one but it will bring hope and the love of the Father. This book would make a meaningful gift to someone who has recently gone through a loss.
