Safety first is something that we should always keep in mind when a situation occurs, but how to teach it to children in a fun and entertaining way? For that, we have First Aid Adventures of Pauly and Friends. Through short stories and the intrepid Pauly the Platypus, lessons are shown to children where possible First Aid scenarios are explained. We look at asthma and diabetes to more situational events such as sunburns, fractures, or cuts. At the same time, author Kathryn Witcombe introduces us to a wide variety of animals, making this an even more enriching book. Each of the pages will teach more than one new lesson to young readers. This kind of information should be available to everyone and shared as usefully as this book does.
First Aid Adventures of Pauly and Friends was wonderful to me in several aspects. The short stories offer clear lessons; if the suggested method cannot always be used, at least we have a possible solution. When something happens and we don't know about it, we may panic, but this book teaches us how to stay calm, ask a professional for help, and many other tips that you should always keep in mind. That's why I think this book is great to teach these lessons and possible solutions. In addition, the images help readers to recognize the type of problem and its characteristics. Kathryn Witcombe does a great job with a very entertaining book and several awesome characters with funny names who set a positive example.
