Flow from the Soul Vol. 1 by Quan M Donatto is an inspiring and uplifting collection of poems that reflect the author’s journey through life. Oscillating between love, life, beauty and growth, the poems are accentuated by the gentle and charming tone used by the author. Quan M Donatto lays it out all in the open; her sad moments, her happy ones and those that left a mark and changed her perspective of the world. The author’s bravery in doing this resulted in a book that any reader can relate to. In the poem Pity Party, she notes, “The torment of love that I long to feel. It seems so far away I just don’t know if it’s real.” These and many other similar lines portray the captivating emotions in the poems.

Quan M Donatto, in Flow from the Soul Vol. 1, ingeniously turns normal words into artistic expressions full of rhythm which challenged me to read between the lines and appreciate each and every moment depicted by each poem. The collection is emotionally engaging and evoked me into reflecting on life and reviewing different events in my life. I got to look at life in a whole new way and in a deeper sense. Some of the poems contained in Flow from the Soul Vol. 1 will definitely cheer up anyone going through a difficult time or just having a bad day. This book is a must-read for poetry lovers, especially for those who would love to see life in a whole new way.
