For The Love of Buddy will appeal to children, especially pet lovers. Dyanna Morrison pours out her heart, explaining her life with Buddy. She depicts their relationship with an impressive depth of passion, highlighting her love for her cat. She narrates poetically, giving most of her sentences a wonderful rhyme, which made the reading experience appealing. She enhances her short sentences using a good vocabulary for kids. I loved the beautiful and colorful pictures as they added to my imagination. Some of the pictures will no doubt leave a smile on a kid’s face as they are amusing. Morrison teaches children a lot of important lessons. Some of these include how to relate to pets, how to take care of them, and, most important of all, how to let go of what you love.
