Preventative measures are emphasized by an experienced van lifer who knows van life well. Kristine shares her wisdom with people about to hit the road so that they are prepared for the many calamities that may spoil their trip. Staying healthy physically and mentally is paramount to enjoying a fulfilling life on the road. Proactively taking care of your body is easier before it gets sick due to the many germs, viruses, bacteria, and more in new environments that are readily found while traveling in a van. Practical advice for food preparation, storage, cooking, hydration, exercise, nutrition, prescription medication, first aid kits, insurance, and more are explained in detail.

Author Kristine Hudson writes with engaging authority on van life using her vast experience. Her advice is sound and practical, but it is so easy to forget while the excitement of an extended trip is coming up. This book is not just for people living in a van but for any travelers.
