Funny Emails You Should Have Kept, But Didn’t is a humorous book written by Gregg and Dianne Stroud. Most people in their working lives have received emails which, whether true or fiction, brought about a chuckle and a much-welcomed break from the monotony of the day’s events. Prior to days of email, these would arrive on fax machines before being photocopied and pinned to notice boards for the whole office to enjoy. Gregg and Dianne Stroud have compiled a list of the various emails, received throughout the ages, and have categorically published them in the hopes of brightening every reader’s day. Some funny emails are merely two to three lines of text, while others are longer anecdotes which take a short while to achieve the punch line.

In going through these ditties, I found myself laughing out loud at the mind-bending humor which certainly put both my thinking gear and laughing gear into overdrive. Subject matter incorporates aging, animals, blondes, business, children, couples, family, fitness, holidays, illogical, legal, logical, medical, men, politics, questions and answers, quotes, random humor, sex and women. It also gave me endless joy, as somebody who suffers from OCD, that the categories were set out in alphabetical order!

Unless you are very easily offended, I definitely recommend this book to everybody who needs some extra laughter in their lives. Gregg and Dianne Stroud certainly brightened my day when this book landed on my desk, as I had not seen some of the jokes in over thirty years and reading them brought back many wonderful memories filled with happy tears. Funny Emails You Should Have Kept, But Didn’t is a must-have addition to all home book shelves, whilst also being ideal for reading during that ever-needed lunch break which can turn from boring to eagerly-awaited with this book in hand.
