Author Biography

Peter Rosch is what happens when a Polish drag-racing varsity bowler and a beautiful, but über paranoid, French Canadian Air Force brat get together on a disco dance floor in glorious Albuquerque, NM. An award-winning writer whose decades in advertising, music, and film introduced him to more than a few bad habits. He hopes it wasn’t for naught. Kirkus called his first novel, My Dead Friend Sarah, "a gripping story" in which "Rosch skillfully renders a unique story of a missing woman."

Future Skinny is a neo-noir psychological thriller by Peter Rosch. Casey Banks, an anorexic-bulimic, possesses a unique ability to foresee the future during a binge eating spree. But Casey's gift acts both as a blessing and a curse as people with nefarious motives always seek to take advantage of his situation. First and foremost is David, a crime lord who is the biological father of Casey's girlfriend Lylian Ayer's five-year-old daughter, Ruby. Another adversary is Cooper, who has a vendetta against David and plans to use Casey and Lylian to get to him. However, after seeing a vision of Lylian bashing the head of a man with a baseball bat, Casey isn't sure how far he can trust her. Can Casey and Lylian find a way to freedom and escape their captors?

Filled with suspense, mystery, and visceral action sequences, Future Skinny is a wild rollercoaster that provides thrills galore. Peter Rosch builds on the creative premise of a man with the ability to foretell the future while he munches on food and spins an intricate yarn full of twists and turns that keep your eyes glued to the pages from start to finish. The non-linear narrative switches timelines every now and then and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. You can't help but feel for Casey and sympathize with Lylian's plight as both try to navigate extraordinary circumstances beyond their control. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it to readers who love psychological dark movie-style thrillers.
