Ghost Teddy by Paul G. Wilson is a children’s mystery drama that follows three siblings, Donny, Mary, and Ricky, who have just moved to the small town of Bannister from a big city. They wish to make new friends with kids their age, but that may not happen because a big development company, Paradise World Development, wants to buy the town and leave many families homeless. The only way to save everyone is to find the town's founding father, Mr. Bannister’s will, which proves that he owned all the land in the town and left it to the residents. After the siblings’ mother brings home a teddy bear she bought at the market, they discover that it is possessed by the ghost of Charlie, Mr. Bannister’s adopted son. To save their town, they find ways to communicate with the ghost, but they discover that the will may be in Mr. Bannister’s old mansion, which is guarded and home to a fierce ghost.

Ghost Teddy is an entertaining story about community, family, working together, and unlikely friendships. It has unexpected plot twists that you will not see coming and relatable young characters that children will easily connect with. Donny, Mary, and Ricky all have unique strengths and personalities; their determination to find the will leads them on a quest where they have to research, visit the library, and learn about historical societies. The mansion became an adventure and learning ground for them. The novel has educational parts and inspires children to develop teamwork and problem-solving skills. Paul G. Wilson’s story is well-paced and engaging, and he beautifully demonstrates the importance of courage and trust in making new friendships and achieving goals. The story is a fun read, and I highly recommend sharing it with your children to teach them about the values of community, courage, teamwork, and perseverance.

In Ghost Teddy by Paul G. Wilson, when the Clark family moves to Bannister, Ricky receives an old teddy bear taken from the Bannister mansion that survived a fire. It soon becomes clear that the bear is sentient. Ricky, his brother Donny, and his sister Mary try to understand the bear, and their search takes them to a medium. As the bear continues to signal for help, the children learn about a boy named Charlie, once connected to Silas Bannister, the town’s founder, missing documents tied to the ownership of the Bannister property, and a development company seeking control of the land. The siblings work to follow the clues, evade guards, and do all they can to secure Bannister’s land for the town.

Ghost Teddy by Paul G. Wilson delivers an entertaining blend of mystery and atmosphere, strengthened by the way small signs in the children’s home begin steering them toward answers. The chalk marks are the coolest forms of clues for me, giving the family scenes an appealing hint of the uncanny. Their Halloween visit to the Bannister property adds a lively shift in mood, with costumes and evening crowds helping them move toward their goal with an enjoyable sense of mischief. The rear well sequence stands out, as the dry stone walls, loose debris, and startled rat give the search a concrete, almost tactile quality. When officers finally become involved, the urgency around the children tightens convincingly, and the confrontation with adults who want explanations gives the closing section an assured finish that lands cleanly.

Ghost Teddy by Paul G Wilson is a unique mystery for children. Ricky, Donny, and Mary have moved from the big city to a small town with their mom. Bannister isn’t quite what they are used to, but the kids are about to find out that things aren’t as quiet and boring as they expected. There’s a haunted mansion in the town, and it’s rumored that there are ghosts. But the town has a bigger problem; the former owner of the land the town stands on has died, and no one can find his will, leaving every resident worrying that they will lose their homes. Money-raising activities get under way and everyone joins in. Mom even buys a teddy bear from the flea market, but the bear is no ordinary stuffed toy. It has a spirit inside it that could be the town’s saving grace. Will the kids and the ghostly teddy save the day, or is the town destined for disaster?

Ghost Teddy by Paul Wilson is a fun story. It’s a mystery adventure for young readers with a difference. This is a really well-crafted story, with realistic, clear dialogue, and written in a way that makes it easy to follow. The characters are truly likable and easy to relate to, and each has their own personality that shines through and brings something to the story. The plot is tight and exciting, with plenty of action and adventure to keep young readers enthralled as they get to know the characters and join the fight to save the town with a ghost in tow. The writing style draws you in, making you a part of the story and keeping you there until the very last page. Kids and adults alike will love it. Who says adults can’t enjoy stories for younger readers, especially wonderful, fun stories like this one? Highly recommended. I look forward to reading more from Paul Wilson.
