GPS – God’s Parameters for Success is a work of Christian writing on the subject of practices for daily living and was penned by author Gary Lee Pyles, Ph.D. Subtitled ‘God’s roadmap for spirit, soul, and body wholeness’, the work is split into two complementary sections. In part one, we learn of the author’s consideration of the parameters which God sets for human beings, and how those parameters lead us to a closer relationship with him through their guidance. Then, in the second part, the work expands to put those parameters into active practice in daily life, discussing obstacles to success such as temptations and anxiety.
Author Gary Lee Pyles has created a thoughtful study of the practices of Christian living as outlined by the Bible and aligned many of those ideas to the troubles of modern life in a comforting self-help format. Devout Christians are sure to agree with his considerations on how living within God’s covenant can improve our close relationship with God and our own sense of faith, but even those who are less diligent, or perhaps do not yet have faith at all, could benefit from the practices outlined in Pyles’s work. Readers seeking structure, comfort, and an emotional outlet will find the author’s narrative tone both confident and compassionate, and the advice well-organized and written with great relevance to many problems which people experience in the modern day. Overall, GPS - God’s Parameters for Success is definitely a recommended read for those seeking a well organized and thoughtful guidebook for daily Christian living.
