Hole in the Fence by Papa Paws is a quick read. Molly and her sisters notice something's not quite right in the yard when they go outside. What a mess! How will Papa Paws react when he encounters this new problem, and who's behind the mess? We see Molly as she hunts down the troublemaker and the clever way Papa Paws decides to handle the issue. This story is also an entertaining means to introduce young children to problem-solving. Parents can ask for their input on whether they like the solution Papa chose or if they have other ideas to resolve the difficulties presented.
Hole in the Fence by Papa Paws is an amusing and slightly quirky story about a group of dogs and their owner, Papa. I enjoyed the short mystery and reading about how Papa handled the mess! I did wonder if the solution might be slightly problematic since they never meet with the neighbors to see what they have to say about the fence. While the outcome might work for some, young children might try to make a hole in the fence on their own. It should be explained to them while reading that people have to talk about these things first! I wish the story had addressed the topic that they would need to get permission. Still, it's an entertaining read with a fun, creative twist.
