One day, Puppy was outside playing with the others in her litter. Even though she was a little slow due to her size, she tried to keep up. One day, the others in the litter decided to go through the fence of the home, and Puppy followed, but once she made it through, she discovered that not only was she unable to see the others, but she was lost. How Stella Blue Finds Her Furever Home by Sandra Bolan reflects how Puppy must navigate the world to find her way back home. Even though Puppy feels alone and misses home, along the path she meets various animals that provide the comfort and support that she needs. Puppy discovers that out in the world, things are different from having a home and family, but she was able to overcome it all in the end by being adopted into another family that would love and care for her just the same.
How Stella Blue Finds Her Furever Home by Sandra Bolan, with beautiful illustrations by Morgan Ball, is inspired by the author’s furry friend, Stella Blue. Sandra has a passion for rescuing and sheltering dogs and wanted to shed some light on the importance of participating in this effort.
