It shows young readers how to create a funny puppet character with an ordinary sock, the techniques of finding and mastering a unique vent voice, and what movements kids should use to bring their puppets to life. It also encourages kids to write a routine and perform with the puppet on stage for their friends and family, along with the necessary exercises and practical recommendations from this world-renowned author.

I wondered how it was possible to make sounds without moving my mouth. How to Make Your Sock Talk explains ventriloquism in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
