I Am Me Unique and Free is written by Angela M Smith and illustrated by Ashleigh Lambert. It is important for everyone to discover where they fit into the world. For children, finding their balance can be a lot more challenging. Drawing parallels to the things they love can help them discover their individuality as well as teach them the importance of self-love. How can learning to be calm like a bird or strong like an ant help a child view their own unique qualities in a different light? Can visualizing themselves beside a magic tree or standing on one foot help them find clarity in a world that seems so confusing?
I Am Me Unique and Free is a wonderful book for kids that will help them learn many valuable lessons about their own individuality. The questions after each point will inspire kids to think about the idea presented in a way that they can understand and identify with. I love how this book is packed with important messages for kids that will teach them about self-esteem and self-love in a way that they can easily learn from. The illustrations by Ashleigh Lambert are as beautiful as they are effective at delivering the concept found on each page. I recommend I Am Me Unique and Free to young children who are ready to learn more about their personal identity and where they fit in. This book would be a wonderful addition to any children’s library at home or in school.
