I Will Always Love You is a heartwarming children's picture book by Michael Wong. It highlights the unbreakable bond that every loving parent has with their child. It takes us through the story of a mother and her daughter. When the mother meets her baby for the first time at birth, she feels overwhelming love and affection and a strong desire to care for and always protect the infant. But baby days soon pass and deep inside the mother knows that, finally, the child will have to venture out into the world on her own. There will be happy moments in the child's life when she will feel great about herself, but there will also be hard times when she will be scared and not know what to do. But no matter how old she gets or what she does, she'll always be her mother's baby.

I Will Always Love You is another colorful, inclusive book from Michael Wong. The award-winning author dedicated this one to his two sons and wrote it to remind every little one that they are greatly loved. You can feel the tender voice of a loving parent reverberating from the pages. The voice is reassuring and promises the child that the parent will love them the best way they know and for as long as they live. It's a phenomenal book about belonging together. The illustrations by Zina Iugai are striking with their vibrant color and realistic cartoon style. I have no doubt children will find them fascinating. This book reminds all children that even though they will grow up one day and become adults and leave home to start their own separate lives away from their parents, they're always in each other's hearts. While conveying this heartwarming message, Wong used a concise, easy-to-understand, and straight-to-the-point writing style, ideal for young readers. This is a book to be treasured as you celebrate the unique connection you share with your little one. It is joyful, life-affirming, and filled with love.

I Will Always Love You by Michael Wong is the heartwarming story of a mother’s love for her child. Through beautiful illustrations and rhyming verses, follow along as a mom and her sweet baby go on an emotional journey from infancy to adulthood. Mom feels a surge of tender emotions as her little one cries, learns to walk, eat, play, grow, go to school, learns to sing and swim, graduates, gets married, and, at last, has a baby of her own. The story iterates that no matter what a child faces in life, no matter what happens to them or what they go through, they will always have a parent or two who loves and supports them unceasingly.

Michael Wong has perfectly voiced in rhyme what every loving parent feels as they watch their child grow from a baby into a child and then an adult. From breathing in that new baby scent to sick days and nights to the pride of watching them achieve milestones like graduating and taking marriage vows, I Will Always Love You explains parents' love and constant swell of thoughts and emotions for their children. Through the images and gentle rhymes, the story highlights the hard feelings, too, like when a child has to go through something difficult. Zina Iugai's illustrations are also beautifully rendered, capturing the essence of each scene in the story. Each illustration perfectly complements the text, making the book engaging and enjoyable for children and adults.

I Will Always Love You is a fitting title for Michael Wong’s picture book about parental love. From the moment Mom set her eyes on her baby girl, she loved her totally and promised to always be by her side. Mom promised to be there through midnight tears and mischief, and when the baby took her first step and said her first words. Mom would also be there for the baby’s first day at school and all her captivating performances. Mom assures the child she will always be there, even when the child becomes an adult, through difficult times, and when the child decides to start her own family. Mom makes many more promises, which she will surely keep.

I Will Always Love You is a lovely picture book illustrating a mother’s love for her child from infancy to adulthood. Author Michael Wong, and illustrator Zina Iugai, did an excellent job creating this story. I loved the beautiful and colorful illustrations as much as I loved the sweet words of promises, and the story would have been incomplete without either of them. With simple diction and a loving tone, it is an endearing and easy read with intermittent end rhymes. It will appeal to all readers, but kids will particularly love it. This is a great bedtime book to remind children their parents love them. I loved it, and I recommend it.
