It’s time for some excitement and a grand adventure. But you don’t need some high tech gizmo to entertain. All you need is your good, old fashioned imagination, the one that works well on its own, without batteries or apps. You can become a pirate and sail the high seas to distant lands to find awesome treasures. Or, how about a mystery happening right next door in the very interesting secret garden? Or you could create your own band and make loud music and start up your own circus of sorts. Or there’s the wonders of the sky at night, the constellations and, of course, the bugs. But even the bugs can be fascinating if you want to think of it as another part of the adventure. It’s all there to enjoy. Just dig really deep into your own imagination.
Casey Rislov’s picture book story, Imagination Bigger Together, is packed with fun ideas that even the best high tech device can’t offer. Beware, though, it may include getting dirty! But that’s okay, because that’s what it means to be a child. Using the imagination is an important tool and if we don’t allow and encourage our young people today to use their imaginations, then how will great minds create great inventions in the future? This is a wonderfully told in free form verse and colorfully illustrated storybook to appeal to young readers and encourage them to use their own imaginations to create adventures like no other. The great outdoors is full of fun and adventure and ideas to spark the imagination. Well done!
